Benjamin Levin from Sandton College obtained an amazing 12 distinctions in the National Senior Certificate examination.
He obtained distinctions in the following subjects:
- Business Studies
- Information Technology
- Physical Science
- Advanced Mathematics
- Life Orientation
- Mathematics Paper 3
In an interview with SAFM, Benji said that he was inspired to choose a 12th subject in the second semester of last year, when he looked at the honour boards in the Crawford College Sandton reception and realised the highest number of distinctions achieved by a Crawfordian was 11. He promptly enrolled for Business Studies.
According to Benjamin, his mother and teachers at Crawford College Sandton inspired and supported him.
Benjamin was accepted at the University of Cape Town to study Actuarial Sciences. He has also applied at Harvard and hopes to hear the outcome of the application at the end of March.
